Department of External Affairs

The Department of External Affairs is responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with external stakeholders, including sponsors, alumni, industry leaders, and potential partners. Led by the Chief Partnership Officer (CPO), Vice President of External Affairs, and Director of Corporate Relations, this department plays a key role in ensuring Towers Collective’s visibility and growth within the broader business community.

Mission:

Our mission is to foster strong partnerships and expand Towers Collective’s network by building meaningful relationships with external stakeholders. Through proactive sponsorship management, strategic networking, and collaboration with industry leaders, we enhance the collective’s opportunities and visibility in the business and academic communities.

Key Roles

Chief Partnership Officer (CPO):

The CPO leads the strategy for partnerships, sponsorships, and external relations. This role is responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with potential sponsors, donors, and business partners. The CPO works to ensure that Towers Collective’s value is communicated effectively to external parties and oversees the strategic direction of the department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying potential sponsors, partners, and industry collaborators.

  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with sponsors and external stakeholders.

  • Developing partnership strategies that align with Towers Collective’s goals and values.

  • Leading the negotiation and execution of sponsorship deals and partnerships.

VP of External Affairs:

The Vice President of External Affairs supports the CPO in developing and implementing strategies to expand Towers Collective’s external presence. This role focuses on representing Towers Collective at external events, conferences, and networking functions, while also developing initiatives to connect members with industry professionals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Representing Towers Collective at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

  • Managing communication between Towers Collective and external stakeholders.

  • Developing initiatives to engage members with industry professionals through mentorships, internships, and networking opportunities.

  • Coordinating with other departments to align external outreach with organizational objectives.

Director of Corporate Relations:

The Director of Corporate Relations plays an essential role in managing day-to-day interactions with sponsors and partners. This position is responsible for ensuring that all sponsorship agreements are fulfilled, reporting on sponsorship benefits, and ensuring sponsors and partners are engaged with Towers Collective’s initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships with current sponsors and partners, ensuring they receive the agreed-upon benefits.

  • Coordinating sponsorship agreements and ensuring all deliverables are met.

  • Preparing regular reports on sponsorship performance and impact.

  • Working with the CPO and VP of External Affairs to identify new opportunities for collaboration.
